Logo design as well as corporate identity design for Alto Corto cafe in Athens.
It’s about a distinct cafe in Agia Paraskevi, with a very special design. The scent of roasting, the enjoyment of the unique quality coffee and the special varieties, confirm the motto “alternative cafe”, while the space exudes a completely urban aesthetics and invites you to make it your new hangout in town.
The brand name of the café “Alto Corto”, is Italian, meaning tall – short and arose from the height of one of the two owners and the surname of the second.
The visual depiction
Designous team undertook the designing of the logo for Alto Corto, following the modern style and philosophy of the business. Mainly, we relied on the decoration of the café and specifically on the geometric ironwork lighting on the ceiling, which is a strong feature of the venue. The colors applied to the logo aroused from the color palette of the coffeehouse and were rendered with earthy shades, creating tonal gradations of brown and beige.
These colors were depicted in all applications of the corporate identity of the cafeteria in a way that perfectly make a match with white.
In the typography design, we used rounded, easy-to-read fonts in modern style, in a way harmony and interconnection is succeeded with the design of the café.
The slogan we created, “alternative café”, expresses the brand’s overall philosophy, while retaining the initials of the brand. By using this tagline, the memorization of the brand by the viewer, is subconsciously accomplished.
